About Us
Shri Laksh School of Dance
Welcome to our Bharatanatyam school, where every step carries meaning, emotion, and tradition.
Welcome to our Bharatanatyam school, where we explore the beauty and depth of this classical South Indian art form. My name is Smt. Meenakshi Kabeer, and I am passionate about sharing my love for this dance, which I believe is a complete expression of storytelling through intricate movements, expressive hand gestures (mudras), and precise footwork.
Our curriculum, rooted in the foundational adavus (basic steps) and guided by the principles of the ancient Natya Shastra, is designed to foster discipline, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the art's rich history. Whether you are a complete beginner or have prior experience, our classes offer a supportive environment to build technique, improve posture, and develop your artistic expression.
We focus on building a strong foundation in the pure dance form (Nritta) as well as exploring the emotive and narrative aspects of dance (Nritya).
We train everyone starting from 3.5 years, and we also welcome working women, housewives, and older learners. We provide special classes for differently challenged students as well. Training is offered in Kalakshetra and Pandanallur styles of Bharatanatyam.
